Treatment Creatinine 2.4, Blood Urea 85 in FSGS

Q: Hi, Doctor. I am suffering from Focal Segmental Glomerulonephritis. And my creatinine is 2.4, blood urea is 85. The medicines I am taking include folic acid, Enalapril, vitB comp, Lozaten, Pantoprazole, Presnizolon, ciclosporin etc. And I attach my biopsy report for your analysis.

A: I checked your medical reports. Considering your present creatinine level and biopsy results, your 50%-70% glomerulus have already sclerosised. Besides, with the renal fibrosis progressing, your kidney tubules and mesenchyme have been damaged.

So, for your condition, you need anti-fibrosis treatment. However, now your medicines can not work in this aspect. The prednisolone and ciclosporin aim at reducing the proteinuria and inhibit the immune condition.

According to our clinical experience, the prednisolone is not effective for FSGS patients. The Enalapril is for high blood pressure. The Folic Acid is for anemia. The Pantoprazole is for the stomach and intestine problem. (Besides, I think your doctor also lets you take the drugs for reducing blood fat, and anticoagulants.)

You should know, these medicines can only relieve your symptoms, like reducing the Protein in Urine, swelling etc. They can not repair your damaged glomerulus and can not stop your renal fibrosis. That is why your proteinuria and Hematuria relapse, and your internal toxins becomes higher.

FSGS is the 5th stage of Nephrotic Syndrome, it is not easy to treat than the MCN, MsPGN. For this Kidney Disease, you are suggested to search a systemic treatment:

- clear the high internal toxins, including the micromolecule toxins, middle molecule toxins, macromolecule toxins, then repair your damaged kidney tissues and cells, block your renal fibrosis, protect your remaining kidney function from further damage. This is the only right way to treat your FSGS from the root. If your root problem can be solved, the symptoms will not relapse.
