How to Manage Energy Shortness for FSGS Patients

How to Manage Energy Shortness for FSGS PatientsEnergy shortness is more likely to cause fatigue and weakness. FSGS is one type of chronic kidney disease. With its progression, patients will suffer from energy shortness. To get more energy, patients can try some therapies.

1. Take in enough nutrition

When kidney filtering structure is damaged, a lot of useful nutrition including protein will leak into urine. Then, patients may suffer from malnutrition, so the body can’t get enough energy from foods what they eat. Protein is one must to build up the body and strengthen Qi, one energy in TCM theory.

2. Do gentle exercise regularly

Regular exercise is beneficial to make patients feel more energetic, boost patients’ appetite and improve patients’ immune system. Therefore, patients can fight against their kidney disease better. Walking is one good exercise choice for FSGS patients, but they should insist on their exercise plan for a long time. Generally, we suggest FSGS patients to walk for at least 30 minutes three times one week. Otherwise, exercise will bring a little difference about patients’ medical condition.

3. Cleanse the polluted blood

As more and more kidney functioning tissues are damaged, extra waste products and toxins will build up in the blood, shortening the lifespan of red blood cells. As less blood and oxygen are provided for functioning tissues, patients feel fatigue easily. To purify the blood, patients can try some blood purification methods such as medicated bath, immune adsorption, and so on.

4. Treat FSGS from the root

Since FSGS is the root cause of patients’ energy shortness, patients should take action to manage patients’ kidney damage fundamentally. Immunotherapy and Clear Blood Pollution Therapy are two therapies worth a try.
