Kidney Transplant, Neurogenic Bladder, Kidney Failure
Q: My 29 years old brother was born with neurogenic bladder 30 years ago, which causes that urine doesn't drain completely from the bladder. Due to this his native kidney lost its functionally completely in the year 2000. He then went on kidney transportation operation in next year.
Now he gets the urinary infection frequently. Recently he had a severe infection and was in ICU for an week after so much struggle he recovered. Doctors asked him to stop all the immunosuppressor medicine, since it was a severe infection. Now he is not taking any medicine. But again he has got infection. Doctors say his transplanted kidney is also loosing its function slowly. Can you help my brother? Thanks.
A: As to your brother's present condition, the transplanted kidney show damage and function decline. Generally speaking, it might be difficult to reverse the condition because it is highly related with disorder in immunity.
For similar case, western method might not have any specific method. If you are interested, i am now sending you more information on the immunotherapy here we adopt in treating kidney disease.
As to immunotherapy, it is general treatment guidance and includes various therapies. Western medicines treat kidney disease through Blocking and Replacing methods. For example, doctor use steroid to Block proteinuria, inodilator drugs to Block hypertension. When renal function declines to end stage, dialysis or transplant is adopted to Replace kidney function. Western method can be considered as Allopathy. The immunotherapy focus on regaining internal balance of the immune system to enhance kidney repair and function improvement.
Immunotherapy is designed for the Kidney Disease which is caused by underlying immune disorder. It is a biological therapy which can help rebuild a new immune system and use the new immune system to fight against the kidney disease. It is a good choice for people with kidney disease caused by immune disorder.
