Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks that end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Because many renal patients in Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital are Muslims, we prepared a party for them on June 25th. More than 30 patients spent a happy festival here.

“In previous years, we always celebrated the great Eid, but in this year, I happened to be hospitalized here. I thought that I can only spend it simply, but unexpectedly the medical staff here are so considerate. We are all very happy.” a muslin patient from Oman said.

Following the Muslim custom strictly, we prepared fruits, cakes, desserts, and juices that do not affect their conditions.

“Come here. Let’s take a photo together.” Before the party began, Achmad from Kuwait happily called our medical staff to take photos to mark this moment.

“The medical staff here are very considerate. Though we stay in a foreign country, we can still celebrate our festival. It is out of my expectation.” After the party, Gawenda from Mauritius, a family member of renal patient, helped us cleanse the tables and recalled the scene they spent such a festival, “This is the first time I take part in the activity of Eid in a foreign country. I will keep in mind forever. It is very significant.”

The medical staff here is so enthusiastic.” when referring to Chinese culture, Ali said that Chinese people is the most tolerant. They are like family member and take good care of you.

“We treat many patients from all over the world every months. And it is common to meet some important festivals, or birthday of patients or their family member. On those special days, we will help them hold parties to celebrate. The culture of our hospital is to make every patient our family member.” Dr.Liu, the director of International department said.
