Nephrotic Syndrome and Blurred Vision
Blurred vision is a common eye problem that caused by visual disturbances. It is generally described as the inability to clearly see or outline details and/or loss of sharpness of vision. One person with Nephrotic Syndrome may experience blurred vision due to the following causes.
1. Side effect of drugs
Medications like corticosteroids are used to treat Nephrotic Syndrome to help relieve the symptoms. This medication may have unwanted adverse effects such as blurred vision, swelling of the body (face, lips, tongue, or throat), infection, muscle cramps, etc.
2. Retinopathy
Retinopathy refers to a condition where the small blood vessels in the eyes become impaired due to high blood pressure or Diabetes.
High blood pressure puts strain on the blood vessel walls, weakening them to point where they can break or burst.
