What are the symptoms of Class four Lupus Nephritis?
Kidney problems often develop at the same time or shortly after lupus symptoms appear and can include:
-joint pain or swelling
-fever with no known cause
-red rashes, often on the face, which are also called butterfly rashes because of their shape.
Treatment for Class four Lupus Nephritis
-Immunosuppressant agents. These medicines are prescribed to suppress the immune systems to stop attacking and damaging the kidneys. Standard treatment includes a corticosteroids, usually prednisone to reduce inflammation in the kidneys. An immunosuppressive medicine, such as cyclophosphamide or mycophenolate mofetil, is typically used with prednisone.
In addition, hypertensive drugs (ACE inhibitors and ARBs) may be also prescribed by a health care provider to control high blood pressure and slow the progression of kidney disease.
-Immunotherapy. This therapy has six steps, which are to restore the normal immune system. During the treatment, we use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). They can eliminate the waste, fight against inflammation and degrade extracellular matrixes. Therefore, this therapy can improve blood circulation. Then kidneys can get enough clear blood volume and oxygen to repair the damaged renal tissues, so as to improve kidney function. This therapy is only available in our hospital, Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital. Any questions, please be free to contact us.
