What is creatinine and BUN?

Creatinine

Creatinine, normally refers to serum creatinine, is a by-product of our muscle metabolism. It will be carried into the blood stream and finally be discharged by the kidneys with urine. When the kidneys are not working normally, excessive creatinine will build up in the blood, and then you will be diagnosed with creatinine 2. The normal creatinine level is 0.5-1.1mg/dl for female and 0.6-1.2mg/dl for male. You can see how high creatinine 2mg/dl is.

BUN

Nitrogen comes from the waste product of urea which is made when protein is broken down in your body. Urea is made in the liver and passed out of your body in the urine.

Kidney disease is the main reason why your BUN level elevates. Heart failure, dehydration, or a diet high in protein can also make your BUN level higher.

The normal BUN level is Normal human adult blood should contain between 6 to 20 mg of urea nitrogen per 100 ml (6–20 mg/dL) of blood. BUN 90 is rather higher than the critical level.
