People with high creatinine level have some dietary restrictions. Many fruits and vegetables may worsen the illness condition. Whether people with high creatinine can eat zucchini or not depends on the potassium level in their blood. Why?

Foods with high level of potassium is generally not allowed to eat by people with high creatinine level. Dehydration, infection, tiredness, strong exercise and high blood pressure may increase the creatinine level. If you can exclude those factors, you may have creatine level because of kidney disease. When kidneys have problems, they cannot filter excessive creatinine and blood urea nitrogen, ann cannot keep the electrolyte balance. Once the electrolyte balance are disturbed, you need to be cautious about what you eat.

Content of potassium in some foods (per 100g)

- Less than 150mg:

Onion, pumpkin, zucchini, eggplant, watermelon, apples, pear and pineapple, etc. These foods can be taken for people with high creatinine level but with moderate amount.

- 150mg-250mg

Carrots, white radish, cabbage, celery, oranges, and persimmon are not allowed to take.

- More than 250mg

Potato, Chinese Yam, pakchoi, celtuce, mushrooms, see weed, nori, banana, peach, and so on are dangerous for people with high creatinine.

High potassium level will burden the kidneys and cause more severe damage so that excessive creatinine will accumulate in the body.

Besides, people with high creatinine level should maintain a low-salt, low-protein, and low phosphorous intake, they have other restrictions. Actually, no matter what they can take or not depends on their own condition and how much or how many they want to take. As long as they eat or drink scientifically, they need not worry about the diet.
