Question: I just had my creatinine checked this morning and it is 1.95mg/dl or 172.4 umol/L. I’m really worried with my health now. What will I do? Please help me. Thank you!
Answer: Please do not worry. To know what you can do, you’d better know the causes of high creatinine. Normal creatinine levels range from:
-0.6 to 1.2 mg/dL (or 53 to 106 umol/L) for males
-0.5 to 1.1 mg/dL (or 44 to 97 umol/L) for females.
Even a slight creatinine level means your kidneys haven’t work effectively. Creatinine 1.95 may bring you some symptoms such as swelling, nausea, bad taste, high blood pressure or proteinuria. If you are experience any other symptoms, please email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cause of your condition is renal insufficiency, so treatment should aim at improving kidney function. To achieve this goal, both diet and medicines are important. You are required to keep a low-sodium and low protein diet. Drinking plenty of water, for instance, is highly recommended when dealing with this problem.
Also, there are some herbs that act as natural diuretics and thus help provide some relief. You can make Chinese herbal tea, using dandelion root, nettle leaf and corn silks, etc. You can follow one or more of these herbal remedies daily for a few weeks or until your creatinine levels are reduced.
A comprehensive treatment called “Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy” is recommended, since it can treat kidney disease from the root. Having been used nearly 30 year in our hospital, Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital, it has gained great success and reputation. Welcome your consultation.
