Do All Kidney Diseases Develop to UremiaDo all kidney diseases develop to uremia? That is a common question asked by kidney patients. They are afraid that once diagnosed with kidney disease, they can not get rid of it forever. In fact, there are two results. One is that you are treated timely and effectively so that you get clinical cure. The other is that it develops to uremia. Different kinds of kidney disease have different prognosis. Now go on reading to learn more information.

1. Acute nephritis

It is mostly associated with virus infection and inflammation. As long as you find out the cause and eliminate it, it can be cured and won’t develop to uremia.

2. Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN)

Its prognosis is usually very bad. It can be classified into primary and secondary. The causes of primary one is uncertain, may be severe virus infection or antigen sensitized. The secondary may be due to Purpura, Lupus, or other primary glomerulonephritis. RPGN usually progresses very quickly. It may develop to acute kidney failure or uremia in several hours or generally weeks or months.

3. Chronic nephritis

Its prognosis is usually good, but it requires treatment to stabilize the state of illness. For chronic nephritis patients, because of flu, over fatigue, high blood pressure and so on, they have constant swelling, proteinuria and frequent relapse, which can contribute to the chronic kidney disease (CKD).

CKD is usually difficult to treat. In western medicine, there is no effective solution to clear toxins from blood. Under the inhibition of steroids, body becomes worse and the burden of kidneys will be added. As a result, it develops to uremia. But under the combination of western medicine and Chinese medicine, it is possible for you to recover.

4. Sufficient cell disease

Its prognosis varies from one to one. For example, Minimal Change Disease and slight mesangial proliferative nephritis usually have a good prognosis, whereas about 50% of the severe one will develop to uremia.

Membranous Nephropathy may develop to uremia, but its course is usually very slow, maybe for several decades. If it can be effectively controlled, it is possible for you to stop the development.

About 60% of FSGS patients develop to uremia in 10 years.

5. Secondary Nephropathy

Recently the prognosis of Hypertensive Nephropathy, Diabetic Nephropathy, Lupus Nephritis and other secondary nephropathy becomes worse and worse, especially Diabetic Nephropathy. But Purpura Nephritis usually has a good prognosis.
