Clarification and Information Regarding Kidney MalfunctionKidney malfunction, or Renal Insufficiency and Renal Failure, is a condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter wastes products from the blood. Clarification and information regarding this kidney disorder are as follows.

Stages of Renal Insufficiency

In clinic, nephrologist uses a classification system to describe what stage of Chronic Kidney Disease you are at (such as Stage 1, Stage 2, etc). Although these are not universally-used, a common example of this is given below.

Stage 1: Sings of mild kidney disease but with normal or better GFR (>90ml/min)

Stage 2: Mild kidney damage with reduced GFR (60-89ml/min)

Stgae3: Moderate chronic renal insufficiency (GFR: 30-59ml/min)

Stage 4: Severe chronic renal insufficiency (GFR:15-29ml/min)

Stage 5: End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) (GFR<15ml/min)

Various symptoms start appearing, but they may not be limited to specific stages. There may some overlaps. Please note that is you happen to have heavy proteinuria, even if your IgAN is at a very mild stage in terms of chronic renal sufficiency, you may begin to experience symptoms of what is called Nephrotic Syndrome. These symptoms are due to the heavy loss of protein, and are not strictly-speaking symptoms of “Renal Failure”.

Symptoms of chronic renal insufficiency

-A slightly elevated serum creatinine

-Presence of protein or blood in urine

-Tiredness or fatigue

-Puffiness or swelling

-Back pain

As mentioned above, patients may also experience some other symptoms. If you are bothered by other problems, you can consult our doctors online.

Treatment for Kidney Insufficiency

Even though our characteristic treatments have been recognized by many foreigners, they are only available in China. Maybe in the future, we can have a branch abroad.

Our Treatment effect

Proteinuria is a common symptom of kidney disease

Mouse over the picture, it can be magnified.

It can make your urine foamy. Although it does not make you feel uncomfortable, it can impair your renal function and make your kidney disease worse. Conventional treatment such as steroids and immunosuppressants can hardly make it negative. In our hospital, systemic Chinese medicine treatment can help you turn it negative. Look at this picture, bubbles in urine become less and less with our treatment going on.
